How works
Paste one or many email addresses and get an instant verdict on each one — format, deliverability, and whether it's a throwaway address.
- 1
Enter an email address
Type a single email in the input, or switch to Bulk mode to paste up to 100 emails at once (one per line).
- 2
We check format and DNS
First, we check the email format against RFC 5322 rules. Then we query the DNS for MX records — these confirm whether the domain can actually receive email.
- 3
Disposable domain detection
We check the domain against a list of known temporary email providers (Mailinator, Guerrilla Mail, etc.) often used to bypass sign-up requirements.
- 4
Read your results
Each email gets a clear Valid, Invalid, or Risky verdict with a reason. Copy the valid list for import into your CRM or mailing list.
Addresses are checked locally (format) and via Cloudflare DNS (MX records). They are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
Frequently asked questions — Email Validator
What does email validation actually check?
A full email validation checks three things: (1) Format — does the address follow the standard structure ([email protected])? (2) MX records — does the domain have mail exchange records, meaning it can receive email? (3) Disposable check — is the domain a known temporary email service? Note: only the domain's mail server can verify whether a specific mailbox exists, which requires an SMTP handshake we do not perform.
Why does a valid-looking email show as invalid?
A valid format does not guarantee a deliverable address. The most common reasons for failure are: the domain has no MX records (it cannot receive email), the domain does not exist, or the email uses a disposable/temporary provider.
What are MX records?
MX (Mail Exchanger) records are DNS entries that tell the internet which mail servers handle email for a domain. If a domain has no MX records, it cannot receive email — any address at that domain is undeliverable, even if the format looks correct.
What is a disposable email address?
Disposable (or temporary) email addresses are created at services like Mailinator, Guerrilla Mail, or Temp Mail. They exist for minutes or hours and are typically used to bypass sign-up requirements. Flagging them helps you maintain a cleaner mailing list and reduce bot registrations.
Can this tool tell me if an email inbox exists?
No. Confirming whether a specific inbox exists requires sending an actual email or doing an SMTP verification handshake with the mail server. Many mail servers block this check for spam-prevention reasons. This tool checks format and domain-level deliverability, which catches the vast majority of invalid addresses.
How many emails can I validate at once?
Up to 100 in bulk mode. Each address is checked in parallel so the entire batch typically completes in 3–5 seconds, depending on DNS response times.
