How Favicon Generator works
A favicon is the small icon that browsers display in the tab bar, bookmarks, and address bar next to your site's URL. This tool generates a clean, sharp favicon from any text or emoji using the HTML Canvas API — no server required.

Enter your text or emoji
Type up to 4 characters — initials, a symbol, or a single emoji like 🚀 or ⚡. Single emoji and two-letter initials tend to look cleanest at small sizes. The live preview updates as you type.

Customise colour, shape, and weight
Pick a background colour using the colour picker or type a hex code. Choose from 10 quick-swatch presets. Adjust the shape from square to fully circular using the shape selector, and dial in the font size and weight to taste.

Download and add to your project
Download individual sizes (16×16 through 512×512 PNG) or click "Download All Sizes" to get every standard size at once. Place the files in your project's public folder and add <link rel="icon"> tags to your HTML. Most modern browsers use the PNG directly — for legacy IE support, convert the 32×32 PNG to ICO format.
All image generation runs locally in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. No images or colours are sent to any server.
